Harpley Medical Centre
Harpley Doctors is the Harpley medical centre inside Harpley Town Centre, at shop T20, 1 Hindson Street, Werribee. If you live on the Harpley estate, it is your local GP clinic, and it is open every day of the week. All consultations and procedures are bulk billed. This page covers where the clinic is, what you can have done in one visit, pathology hours and what to do when we are closed.
Is there a Harpley medical centre?
Yes. Harpley is a residential estate within the suburb of Werribee, postcode 3030, and our Harpley medical centre sits inside its town centre, so your GP is on the estate itself. You do not need to live in Harpley to be seen here; new patients are welcome from anywhere.
The map below shows the clinic. Open the Google Maps listing for directions from your door.
What you can do in one visit
Most visits start with a standard consultation of up to 15 minutes with one of our general practitioners. A lot can then be handled without leaving the building:
- a blood test or other sample, collected on site by Australian Clinical Labs
- vaccinations, including flu, travel and Q fever vaccines
- skin checks and minor skin procedures
- medical certificates and reports
- contraceptive procedures such as IUD insertion and Implanon insertion
See Patient Info and Fees for fees and practice policies.
Pathology collection hours
Australian Clinical Labs runs a collection service inside the clinic. Its hours are shorter than ours, so check them before you plan a test:
- Monday to Friday: 8 am to 12 pm
- Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm
- Sunday: closed
If your doctor orders a test during an afternoon appointment, you can return on a later morning for the collection. More detail is on our Pathology page.
Walk in or book ahead
We run on appointments, but walk-in patients are always welcome at Harpley Medical Centre and we will accommodate you. Booking ahead online through HealthEngine, or by calling reception, means you are not waiting for a gap in the day.
Weekday appointments run until 8 pm, and the clinic also opens on weekends and public holidays, so there is usually a time that fits around work or school.
Who you will see
Our team of general practitioners includes two Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and several of our GPs are women, if you would prefer a female doctor. Each doctor's interests are listed on their profile.
When the clinic is closed
If you need urgent medical care while we are closed, call 13 SICK on 13 7425. For an emergency, call 000 straight away.
Other areas we cover
These pages describe the same clinic from other angles: costs, our GPs, and patients from neighbouring suburbs.
