Mental Health Treatment Plans in Werribee

Harpley Doctors helps patients with a mental health treatment plan, often called a mental health care plan, at our clinic in Harpley Town Centre, Werribee. A plan from your GP gives access to Medicare-subsidised sessions with a psychologist or other mental health professional. This page explains how a plan works, what changed in 2025 and how to book.

How a mental health treatment plan works

Your GP talks with you about what is going on, assesses your needs and agrees goals. Under the Better Access initiative, a plan gives access to up to 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions each calendar year with a Medicare rebate.

Changes from November 2025

Since 1 November 2025, plans, reviews and referrals need to come from the practice where you are registered for MyMedicare, or from your usual GP. A new plan is generally not made within 12 months of the last one, so if you already have one, your plan can continue with a review.

Support from your GP

Our GPs offer confidential mental health consultations and early intervention for children and young people. Dr Khalida Batool and Dr Farzana Yasmin list mental health among their interests. If you need help right now, call Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000 in an emergency.
