Interpreters and Languages Spoken at Harpley Doctors

Harpley Doctors welcomes patients who would like to speak with their GP in another language. Our team includes a Hindi and Telugu speaking GP, as well as doctors who speak Persian (Farsi) and Bengali. For other languages, an interpreter can be arranged, and the government’s interpreting service is free for GP consultations. This page lists the languages our doctors speak and how to ask for an interpreter.

Ask for one of these doctors when you book, or see their profiles on our Doctors page.

Free interpreters for your consultation

The Free Interpreting Service from TIS National is free for GP consultations that attract a Medicare rebate, and covers phone, video and on-site interpreters in more than 150 languages. The practice books it, so tell reception you would like an interpreter. Our practice notes that a phone interpreter may be available.

Calling us in your language

You can also call TIS National on 131 450, any time, and ask them to connect you with Harpley Doctors on (03) 8731 1330.
