Harpley Medical Practice

Harpley Doctors is the Harpley medical practice in Harpley Town Centre, Werribee. Our GPs see patients by appointment, and walk-ins are welcome too. This page explains how the practice runs, from booking and phone consultations to choosing the doctor who suits you. It also sets out the practice policies worth knowing before your first visit.

How appointments work at our Harpley medical practice

A standard consultation runs for up to 15 minutes. All consultations and procedures are bulk billed.

We always make room for patients who arrive without a booking, although a booked time is the surer way to see a particular doctor.

To book, use HealthEngine online or phone reception while we are open.

Phone consultations

Some problems can be dealt with over the phone at our Harpley medical practice. Three things to know before you ask for one:

  • They are not suitable for anything that needs a physical examination.
  • They are not held at a set time. Your doctor calls on the same day, but it could be at any point during the day.
  • To stay eligible, you need at least one face-to-face consultation with your doctor each year.

When in doubt, book in person. An examination gives your GP the full picture.

Choosing your GP

Every doctor at our Harpley medical practice is a general practitioner, and many have areas they particularly enjoy. If you have a specific need, their interests can help you choose:

Full profiles, with qualifications and languages spoken, are on our Doctors page.

Practice policies worth knowing

  • Your record stays private. Medical records are confidential, only authorised staff can see them, and we follow the Australian Privacy Principles.
  • Keep your details current. Tell us when your address, phone number, email or emergency contact changes, so reminders and results reach you.
  • Complaints are welcome. Raise a concern with us first, or put it in writing. We acknowledge every written complaint, investigate it and tell you the outcome.
  • Zero tolerance. Abusive or threatening behaviour towards our team means leaving the clinic and transferring your care to another practice.

The full wording of each policy is on our Patient Info and Fees page.
